Transfer types and methods
The financial instrument(s) that your mass payments will be routed to are referred to as a Transfer Methods on the uP Platform. In the case of the Remittance Model, recipients must have a Transfer Method assigned to their uP Recipient ID by you, the Enterprise or Marketplace, before a payment can be processed. This can be done via uP API calls.
With the Stored-value Model, recipients will have the ability to add one or more transfer methods to their uP Wallet at a time that is convenient to them (coming 2024).
The uP Payouts solution offers multiple local transfer methods. These methods are categorised by Transfer Method Type. The transfer types are defined as follows:
📄️ Bank
NomuPay delivers funds to bank accounts using real-time enabled financial networks whenever possible.
📄️ E-wallet
The e-wallet transfer type is normally linked to an existing bank account or card, though some e-wallets can also store monetary value independently.
