uP IDs
All users on the uP Platform are provided with an uP ID type at the time of their account creation. The uP Payouts solution uses 4 uP ID types; the type of ID that you’re assigned depends on your user profile.
uP Account ID
All Enterprises and Marketplaces on the uP Platform are provided an uP Account ID as part of the onboarding process.
The Enterprise or Marketplace onboarding process, which involves the secure collection and review of business details and documentation via our uP Platform Onboarding Management System (uP POM), is handled via a dedicated NomuPay representative. This representative will provide you with NomuPay’s payout onboarding requirements directly and ensure that all your necessary documents are securely input in uP POM.
uP Account IDs are formatted with the prefix “EID” (ex. EID-1234567). This uP Account ID is your unique identifier on the uP Platform; in the uP Payouts solution, it will be referenced in uP API calls.
The uP Payouts solution will be enabled on your uP Account ID as a Product during your onboarding process. Once enabled, you will be able to send payouts using your uP Account ID. As mentioned previously, you are required to pre-fund your NomuPay Funding Account prior to sending payouts to recipients (See the Funding section for more information). If you do not have adequate funds to execute on the payout instructions, the platform will notify you with an insufficient funds error.
Every time a payout is made to a recipient, the Available Balance within your Unified Balance will be debited, and funds will be transferred to the recipient’s transfer method or uP Wallet depending on the Payout Model that has been configured on your uP Payouts solution.
uP Recipient ID
Every recipient that you plan to disburse funds to must first be onboarded to the uP Platform. During this process, each recipient will be assigned a unique uP Recipient ID. uP Recipient IDs are formatted with a prefix “SID" (SID-123456). As with your uP Account ID, uP Recipient IDs are referenced in uP API calls.
The uP Payouts solution supports two uP Recipient ID profile types:
Individual
An Individual uP Recipient ID is assigned to an individual person or a sole proprietor / individual entrepreneur. Please note that NomuPay can only process payouts to individual recipients that meet the minimum legal age.
