Cards
The Card payment type is linked to a debit, credit, prepaid or charge card that is issued by a card issuing institution.
The uP Payments solution supports the following card payment methods:
Maestro
Maestro is a Mastercard debit card. Issued by issuer banks, Maestro debit cards are linked directly to a checking account.
As of July 2023, Mastercard will no longer allow issuance of Maestro cards, and will instead be promoting Mastercard debit cards.

The uP Payments solution supports usage of Maestro cards as tokenized e-wallets through Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay, under the condition that the merchant gateway handles the authentication of these e-wallet.

Mastercard is a branded card network that processes electronic payment services to merchants on behalf of member financial institutions. The Mastercard brand offers credit, debit and prepaid payment cards through various partners.

UPI (China Union Pay International)
Union Pay is China's state sponsored card network that processes electronic payment services to merchants on behalf of member financial institutions. The Union Pay brand offers credit, debit and prepaid payment cards. It is widely used by Chinese shoppers internationally as well as domestically. NomuPay utilises Union Pay's SecurePay technology to accept UPI e-commerce payments quickly and securely.
